Marnee Carpenter Will Join Dead Talk Live To Talk About "Clarice" on Tuesday, March 9th At 9:30 PM Eastern U.S. Time
CBS’s new series “Clarice” is a hit! With a cast that includes Rebecca Breeds (Clarice), Michael Cudlitz (Paul Krendler), Jayne Atkinson (Ruth Martin), and rising new star Marnee Carpenter who plays Cathrine Martin, why wouldn’t it be?
The same Cathrine Martin that Clarice Starling rescued in 1991’s Oscar-winning “Silence of the Lambs.” “Clarice” takes place one year after the original movie’s events. We see that both Clarice and Catherine are suffering from severe PTSD due to their encounter with Serial Killer “Buffalo Bill.” Both characters are reluctant to face their shared traumas while Clarice avoids Catherine, who is desperately reaching out to Clarice.
The character of Catherine Martin has undergone a complete transformation from the character we met in “Silence of the Lambs.” Bill’s preference for “Larger” women has caused Catherine to shed her weight, turned her into a Xenophobe, and after her rescue, is taking care of her abductor’s dog, Precious.
The mother-daughter relationship between Atkinson and Carpenter is electric on the screen. Ruth Carpenter is now the Attorney General who has organized a group within the FBI called ViCap, Violent Criminals Apprehension Program.
Marnee Carpenter will be joining Dead Talk Live on Tuesday, March 9th at 9:30 PM Eastern U.S. time for an Exclusive Interview. You can catch Dead Talk Live Monday through Friday at 9:30 PM ET. The show simultaneously streams to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Twitch.
