The light glows blue at the doorstep of antiquity
The silver sky turns orange in a moment of serenity
I’m here alone with the curtains drawn so secretly
For fear she’ll come with her eyes focused so heavily
For all these years I have tried to break her hold on me
When she was gone, I did leave my guard down foolishly
She grabbed my voice and attempted a cruel heresy
And now I hide for from her mouth comes eulogy
And yet she speaks as if to her my fear is a cruelty
She must feed, why must I starve her so uncivilly?
And once she’s done, she would leave me to my destiny
Another one to be and breed the casualties
I hide alone from the evil of antiquity
I must resist giving her such cruel serenity
I’ll die alone with the curtains drawn so secretly
For fear she comes with her eyes focused so heavily
