While technically hitting Netflix in April, coming out just one day before the start of May, this film will definitely be worth checking out within the next few weeks. If you loved Amanda Seyfried in Jennifer’s Body you will be happy to hear she is the star of this new horror film. When Catherine and her husband move into a home in a small town, she begins to suspect her house has a dark secret.
Dead Again in Tombstone
Release Date: September 12, 2017
In this film Guerrero returns from the dead to prevent hell upon earth by protecting a stolen relic from a gang of soldiers. While this film might not be the typical horror film, it stars Danny Trejo making it an enjoyable watch anyways.
Resident Evil: Extinction
Release Date: September 21, 2007
The Resident Evil series is one enjoyed by many. In this film Alice is captured by the Umbrella Corp. and given superhuman abilities. With the help of some people, both new characters and some from previous films, she attempts to destroy the virus that has turned so many people into zombies.
Resident Evil: Afterlife
Release Date: September 10, 2010
If you’re already on Netflix watching the last film, you’ll probably enjoy the follow-up. This film continues Alice’s battle against Umbrella Corp. in a world still full of zombies. Alongside a group she heads to a spot in Los Angeles that was supposed to be safe from zombies but when they get there they find it swarming with them. What will they do now?
The Lovely Bones

Based on a best-selling novel, this film takes place in the 70s after the murder of a young girl, Susie Salmon. She observes her family and her killer from the afterlife as their lives play out. Her father believes the murderer had to have been someone she knew, possibly their neighbor, and he tries to find answers.

This film is more of a comedy than anything else but it lands in the horror category because duh, zombies! After a virus turns the majority of people into zombies, four of the few survivors cross paths. They kill many zombies while following the rules of survival as they try to make it to a safe place in Los Angeles. It is a perfect Netflix pick for a relaxing night.

In this film teenager Tyler finds some dark photos in his father’s possession that leads him to believe he was responsible for the murders of many girls years prior. The killer in this film was heavily inspired by the BTK Killer, Dennis Rader.

This film is based on the bestselling book by the same name. Fans of Rear Window will probably enjoy this one. Dr. Anna Fox, an agoraphobic, begins to become obsessed with watching her new neighbors. After seeing something awful while watching them she becomes further consumed, trying to solve the crime she believes she witnessed.

Army of the Dead

This film tells the story of a group of people that go to Vegas during a zombie outbreak to try and pull off a huge heist. They must break into a quarantined zone where tons of zombies, who appear to go beyond the typical description of dumb and slow creatures, have taken over. The group must get past these dangerous beings in order to get to a vault underneath the area before the city is hit by nukes. They have less than two days and there is $200,000,000 on the line.
