Dominic’s Experience on the ‘Funny’ Side of Horror Movies

On the latest episode of Dead Talk Live, actor Dominic Mariche joined us to give us a glimpse into all the intense action shots from his movie, Kids vs. Aliens, which is set to premiere on Shudder on January 20th, 2023.

Kids vs. Aliens focuses on an epic slumber party gone awry once bloodthirsty aliens attack everyone. In turn, two siblings must work together to survive the night. The official film trailer dropped in late 2022, and it featured the intense moment when the aliens wreak havoc on this large group of minors.

When it came to his experience working on the film, Dominic recollected that it was a unique opportunity for him, having previously starred in more family-oriented projects.

“It was definitely a step out of my comfort zone, but I would 100 percent do it again,” the Are You Afraid of the Dark? actor said. “I feel like all the other shows that I’ve done before have kind of been, like, Nickelodeon, family-friendly, and a lot of F-bombs were dropped during this movie.”

Dominic emphasized that while Kids vs. Aliens is “definitely more of an adult movie,” the intensity of the language and visuals are “what make it funny” in the end.

In fact, the young cast even had to take “wrestling training,” according to Dominic. Luckily, though, the young actor pointed out that he got along well with his costars, and they all had a natural “chemistry” from the start.

“I am ecstatic. I’m so happy about how the movie turned out,” he concluded.

For any horror fans who are on the fence about streaming this upcoming horror, don’t be fooled — viewers are in for more of a jump scare-worthy ride than they’re anticipating.

Kids vs. Aliens will be available to watch on Shudder on January 20th, 2023.
