What Really Happened out There?

Yellowjackets is a show about a soccer team that crashes in the wilderness in the 90’s and are stuck for over a year. A second timeline follows where they are adults in present day and are haunted by their pasts. The trailer for season two dropped and there is both so much and nothing shown in the trailer.

Venturing Out

The trailer focuses heavily on the snow, landscape, and scope of the location. The team does explore in season one, but it seems as if they are going to venture out more this season. It appears that the snow is a character itself and part of the story. It also seems to be apparent that weather will be their biggest adversary. 

New & Old Faces

We see the return of Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Steven Krueger, Warren Cole, Courtney Eaton, and Liv Hewson are all coming back in their respective roles. Newcomers among the cast include Lauren Ambrose, Simone Kessell, and Elijah Wood. 

Timelines 

The trailer depicts a lot of the team in the past and present timeline, so we can expect a similar formula like the first season being both flashbacks and present day. Having confirmation of adult Lottie and Van is interesting because that means they escape. Other Yellowjacket girls also appear to have more screen time and Elijah Wood was cast who may be a friend of adult Misty’s.
