“I loved how Connor played his character because it really gave me some room to play,” Gustin explained, adding that she and her scene partner played around with a “little improv” to build the dynamic they created in the long run.
Since the two actors have an extensive amount of credits on their resumes, Floyd and Gustin also opened up about their passion for film and TV, as they both have several upcoming projects ahead of them.
Floyd is also a daytime soap actor, and he described the transition from movies to television as a “big adjustment,” noting that there was “more freedom” in shooting The Last Deal.
Gustin, for her part, has been promoting her anthology film Nightmare at Precinct 84, which resulted from her time working on short films. Although she was a co-writer on the upcoming movie, Gustin emphasized that she feels stronger acting on camera rather than writing.
