Back to the Beach With Nothing to Lose

Outer Banks is coming back for its third season at the end of the month. Outer Banks follows two different classes in the Outer Banks, off the coast of North Carolina. After secrets are revealed, it then becomes a dangerous treasure hunting adventure. The ensemble cast of the group of Pogues and themes of friendship are also important and specific dynamics presented in Outer Banks.
The trailer shows the Pogues on an island after the events of last season. They are stranded, broke, and without the treasure on an island in the middle of nowhere after having to leave the Outer Banks, but are trying to make the most out of the situation they are now in, down to cracking jokes and Pogue humor. One wonders if we will be seeing them struggle to survive, as we see them fishing, making fires, and building shelters. This would be interesting, as the show is heavily adventure and action focused, survival drama would fit in perfectly.
However, that does not last very long, as the group finds themselves in another race for treasure and on the run. Ward and Rafe are still after them, as well as new very threatening looking enemies. Enemies in Outer Banks always mean business and the Cameron men very well may be teaming up with new enemies.
The Pogue Family
Chase Stokes, Madelyn Clyne, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Drew Starkley, Carlacia Grant, Charles Esten, Cullen Moss, Julia Antonelli, Caroline Arapoglou, Elizabeth Mitchell, Charles Halfoed, and more are back this season reprising all of their roles, as well as newcomers Andy McQueen, and Lou Ferrigno. There are still a lot of questions about the Cameron family, John B’s dad, and the other Pogue’s families. It feels as if they will play even bigger roles this season and serve the story more than just being side characters.
Nothing to Lose
The trailer looks phenomenal. It has the Outer Banks feel with the beach, action, treasure hunt aesthetic that the show started out as back in season one. It feels as if this season, they really nailed down the shots, action, and overall feel.
There are some questions to be brought up, after everything was it ever possible for them to even get the treasure? Was everything a wild goose chase all along?
The Pogues definitely have nothing to lose at this point. They have been through so much and feel like everything has been leading to something bigger with the treasure and characters’ lineage and importance of bloodlines.
