Yoko Okumura is an actress, director, writer, and producer best known for her work on Good Trouble (2021-2022), The Bold Type (2021), Etheria Film Festival Showcase 2020 (2020), 50 States of Fright 2020), Basic Witch (2019), Strawberries Will Save the World (2017), Fall Into Me (2016), Our Place in the Sky (2015), Kimi Kabuki (2014), Rejouer (2011), 1000 Ways to Die (2010), and Shutter Island (2010).
Yoko Okumura directed the thrilling comedy Unseen. The film follows a woman who manages to escape being kidnapped by her ex. The only problem? Her glasses broke and she’s lost in the woods. She calls for help, only to misdial and call a gas station clerk instead, who takes up the task of guiding the near sighted hiker to safety via video call. Unseen will be available to stream on March 7th, 2023.
