Percy Jackson is a Greek mythology fantasy novel written by author Rick Riordan. The books were released from 2005 to 2009 and the main and original cycle of the series includes five book: Lightning Thief (2005), The Sea of Monsters (2006), The Titan’s Curse, The Battle of the Labyrinth (2008), and The Last Olympian (2009). In addition, there is a sequel series and other additional books about the adventure of Percy Jackson.
All books are devoted to Greek mythology but the events take place in the modern world. The first action begins with meeting a young guy named Percy Jackson, a seemingly simple American schoolboy with dyslexia and ADHD, who discovers that the world is not what it seems. One day while on a school trip, his math teacher attacked him in a fury and accused him of being a thief. He manages to deal with the teacher because his other teacher gives him a pen that turns into a sword to fight the fury. In an instant, his boring life turns into a series of events that blow his life away. Later, he travels with his mother, but they are attacked by a minotaur on the way. However, the real fun and adventure begins when Percy gets to Camp Half-Blood, where he discovers that Greek Gods are real and that he is the son of Poseidon.
In April 2021, Rick Riordan announced that he is looking for the next Percy Jackson. This time, the creators decided to pick up actors who match the age of the character from the book. After all, earlier there were two film adaptations of the first two books starring Logan Lerman who played Percy Jackson, Alexandra Daddario as Annabeth Chase and Brandon T. Jackson as Grover Underwood. The first movie Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief was released in 2010.
Coming out of this, the creators of the series decided to stick to the details of the books and make the actors age appropriate. We see a lot of interesting and new faces in the show. Returning to the series, the new Percy Jackson will be Walker Scobell (The Adam Project), who is currently 14 years old. Annabeth Chase will play Leah Jeffries (Beast), who was also born in 2009. Grover Underwood will be played by Aryan Simhadri.
In addition to the main trinity, it also was announced Charles Bushnell will play Luke Castellan. This is followed by Adam Copeland as Ares and Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus.

Moreover, the teaser begins with the words that being a demigod is dangerous and they can be killed, so it is better to believe in an invented lie about birth and just live a simple life and something can come for you.
