Actor Danny Masterson Convicted of Two Counts of Rape at Second Los Angeles Trial

Masterson Found Guilty

Danny Masterson, 47, has been found guilty of 2 counts of forcible rape by the city of Los Angeles and faces 30 years to life in prison.

Masterson, famous for his role as Hyde in “That 70s Show,”

was accused of sexual assault by three women in March 2017 and was investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department soon thereafter.

Masterson denied the allegations and faced a series of trials leading up to his 2023 conviction. He was dropped from the production of all projects he was involved in and subsequently dropped as a client by United Talent Agency as well.

In 2020, he was also charged for the 2001 and 2003 rapes of three separate women, and if convicted, will face up to 45 years in prison.

Masterson, a member of the Church of Scientology,

has for years been accused of sexual misconduct by several different women, including the wife of current “At the Drive-In” singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala, who alleged that Masterson raped his wife in 2017.

Masterson has maintained his innocence in spite of the numerous accusations and has pleaded not guilty in all of his court cases.

As of June 2023, Masterson is incarcerated at the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles and awaits a sentencing date that will likely be decided upon at his upcoming hearing date on August 4.
