Captain America Four Gets Name Change

‘New World Order’ Is No More In An Update Of The Movie’s Production

Kicking off the newest installment in the Captain America movies is Captain America: Brave New World, which originally was Captain America: New World Order. The movie’s title change was announced mid-production on social media, and Marvel Studios also gave eager fans a first look at the movie of leading man Anthony Mackie alongside Harrison Ford behind the scenes. The chairs in the picture reflected that of the new title as well. The development of the movie was first announced in July of 2022, along with a slated release date of May 3, 2024. As of right now, that date remains unchanged.

Who’s Involved With The Movie

Anthony Mackie plays Sam Wilson who was originally the Falcon in previous movies. He takes on the mantle of being the next Captain America at the end of the Marvel TV show, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which sets up the plot for the upcoming movie. Chris Evans played the titular superhero first before retiring from the role after Avengers: Endgame

Joining Mackie is Harrison Ford in his first-ever appearance in the MCU as Thaddeus Ross, who also is known as “Thunderbolt”. In the newest installment of the Captain America movies, the actor plays the MCU’s President of the United States. Along with Ford, Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson make a surprise return to the franchise as Betty Ross and Samuel Sterns respectively from The Incredible Hulk. Danny Ramirez, a familiar face from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, is also reprising his role as Joaquin Torres.

Directing the ensemble cast is Julius Onah, known for The Cloverfield Paradox. Captain America: Brave New World is also written by Onah, as well as Malcolm Spellman, the creator of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier show.

Captain America: Brave New World is still slated to be released exclusively in theaters on May 3, 2024.
