Journey to the Further One Last Time Tomorrow Night With the Cast of Insidious: The Red Door
Tomorrow night on Dead Talk Live, we will have huge guests. The cast of Insidious: The Red Door (Patrick Wilson, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, Sinclair Daniel), will be joining Viz to discuss the final installment of the terrifying series at 7:00 PM.
What Is Insidious: The Red Door About?
The upcoming installment of the horror franchise will follow the men of the Lambert family ten years after their last appearance. Josh travels with his son Dalton to drop him off at college, but his stay quickly loses its appeal when both of them are inexplicably haunted once again by the demons of The Further. This time around, they will have to cross through the Red Door one last time if they hopes to cease their haunting for good.
The film will be a direct follow-up to the first two installments, Insidious (2010) and Insidious: Chapter 2. It will also see most of the main cast (Wilson, Shaye, Simpkinsm, along with Rose Byrne) from the original film return to reprise their roles.
Fans will also be interested to know that Insidious: The Red Door also serves as the directorial debut of lead actor Patrick Wilson, pulling double duty. Also in the film are Hiam Abbass, Peter Dager, and Jarquez McClendon in undisclosed roles.
Previous Film Projects From Our Guests
Patrick Wilson is something of a mainstay in the horror community, having led The Conjuring franchise alongside Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren. Superhero fans will recognize him as Orm Marius or Ocean Master from the DCEU’s Aquaman (2018).
Ty Simpkins plays Dalton Lambert and has been in other films, such as last years hit The Whale and Jurassic World (2015). And just like Wilson, Simpkins has also been featured in superhero movies as Harley Keener from the MCU’s Iron Man 3 and Avengers: Endgame.
Lin Shaye, like Patrick Wilson, is also an icon in horror, has been featured in most of the Insidious movies but has also had roles in Ouija (2014), The Grudge (2020), and The Call (2020) from DreadCentral. Relative newcomer Sinclair Daniel has mostly done short films and TV appearances, so this will be her feature film debut.
Insidious: The Red Door from Screen Gems and Blumhouse Productions will hit theaters on July 7, 2023.
