Pedro Pascal joining the MCU? This is the way.
Pedro Pascal is reported to be in early talks with Marvel to take the role of Reed Richards from Fantastic Four! This is exciting news but also shocking to many Marvel fans around the world.
Pedro Pascal Could be the New Reed Richards?
The actor has amassed a huge following online since his days on Game of Thrones. Recently, reports have come out that Pedro Pascal is in the early stages of discussion with Marvel studios to be in the upcoming Fantastic Four film. As Reed Richards himself! This news comes nearly a year after rumors first started that Adam Driver, a former Star Wars veteran, was tied to the film as well. Hollywood Trades is suggesting that Pedro Pascal is now in final talks for the role, and it could see The Last of Us star in the MCU for the foreseeable future. As Marvel previously stated, the film is a huge stepping stone for their future. Fantastic Four and X-Men franchises have been off-limits to the studio until recently. However, this news might be disappointing to some Marvel fans.
Fan Casting Gone Up In Smoke
Pedro Pascal is a fan favorite of many movie lovers around the world. This recent news is unfortunate to many fans who wanted John Krasinski to return to the role. For those unaware, Krasinski played Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Not long after the film’s release, Krasinski said that Marvel had not contacted him to return as the character. Krasinski and his wife, Emily Blunt, have long been fan favorites to play the power couple known as Reed Richards and Sue Storm.
So, what is the film going to be about? It is obviously going to be the next huge milestone for the next wave of MCU movies. However, the studio won’t say anything about it. Fans will have to keep watch on the news that is coming out. Be that on the film itself or casting news. Could Pedro Pascal be the next Reed Richards? It would bring a new face to the character, which means a new audience who might watch the film.
Marvel’s Fantastic Four is scheduled to be in theaters on May 2, 2025.
