Antony Starr Goes Viral for Funny Behind-the-Scenes Bloopers of "Gen-V"

“F**k my Life”

Actor Antony Star portrays the sadistic Homelander in The Boys, a satire on the success of superhero marketing and the psychological impact it would have on superheroes if they were real people. Homelander makes a surprise cameo in the successful spin-off show Gen V, a show that focuses on a group of young heroes who attend Godolkin University School of Crimefighting.

The Starr Suspended in Wires

Actor Antony Starr recently went viral for a funny behind-the-scenes blooper from Gen V of the Kiwi actor swearing up a storm as he is suspended in the air on wires. Starr makes a surprise cameo as Homelander at the tail end of Gen V’s first season. His role as the egotistical and sadistic antihero originated on Prime Video’s The Boys, a superhero satire on the commercialization of real-life super-powered people.

It has not been confirmed if Starr will return as Homelander in season 2 of Gen V, however, it has been confirmed that he will reprise his role in season 4 of The Boys. Showrunner Eric Kripke recently stated that season 4 kicks off “a couple of days” after Gen V season 1.

“Ahhhh f**k my life. F**k this. F**k off. F**king c**ts. Holy sh*t. Okay, please, that’s good,” Star hilariously exclaims as he is suspended higher and higher into the air. The set clip from Gen V recently went viral on X. Starr’s love-hate relationship with wirework is on display as the stunt team raises him higher and higher. In the clip, an off-screen crew member confirms they typically film Homelander touching down as opposed to being so high up in the air.

Homelander’s arrival in Gen V certainly ties the spin-off show closer to The Boys. Without revealing too much, Gen V centers around students of Godolkin University School of Crimefighting, where college-level superheroes are tested if they want a chance at joining The Seven, Vought International’s elite team of superheroes whom Homelander is a part of.
