It’s Twins! Arnold Schwarzenegger Shares ‘Twins’ Reunion Photo with Danny DeVito

A Bromance Still Strong After 35 Years

“It’s Twins!” Usually, when one hears this announcement, it’s an exciting revelation of two babies on the way. But in today’s instance, the “twins” are actually older men — one having been born in an idyllic Austrian village and the other born in…New Jersey. Of course, this refers to the reunion of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito.

Some argue twins have a lifelong connection and, at times, even a telepathic one — which is what Schwarzenegger and DeVito seem to share, having starred together in the film Twins (1988). In the popular comedy, they depict twin brothers brought into existence via genetic engineering.

“I can’t wait to work together again.”

Their enduring bond is evident as Arnold Schwarzenegger posted an Instagram photo of him and Danny DeVito posing together after watching DeVito’s stellar performance in the Broadway play I Need That

Moreover, the corresponding caption reads: “My brother! It was fantastic to see Danny on Broadway in I Need That. He and Lucy and everybody involved kept the audience entertained, laughing and loving every minute — one of the best plays I’ve ever seen, a true spectacle with heart!! I can’t wait to work together again.”

It’s heartwarming to see that the two movie stars have kept close over the years. For example, in April, they pre-taped a video for the White House Correspondents’ dinner. And now, Schwarzenegger is showing his friend some love by supporting his acting venture on Broadway.

A Twins Sequel?

The recent image has sent Twins’ fans into a frenzy — wondering whether this indicates another film is in the works. Back in the 90s, a Twins sequel, Triplets, was being developed with Tracey Morgan signing on as the third brother. However, the death of director Ivan Reitman in 2022 put it permanently on hold.

Final Thoughts

Since triplets are a rare occurrence — accounting for less than 1% of all pregnancies, fans of Schwarzenegger and DeVito can find solace in better odds — perhaps DeVito will join Schwarzenegger’s Netflix series FUBAR that was just picked up for a second season.

Check out Twins, now streaming on TNT, TBS, and truTV.
