Final Trailer For ‘The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Lived’ Drops

A Limited Series Epic Love Story

AMC released the final trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, an upcoming limited series spin-off featuring Andrew Lincoln reprising his role as Rick Grimes and Danai Gurira taking up her role once again as Michonne.

What’s the Series About?

Underneath the hardened zombie sheath of the post-apocalyptic landscape, the series is a romance between Rick and Michonne. Moreover, IMDb describes the series as “The love story between Rick and Michonne, changed by a world that is constantly changing, will they find themselves in a war against the living or will they discover that they too are The Walking Dead.”

In the latest trailer, the Civic Republic Military (CRM) has imprisoned Rick for more than a decade, and Michonne is desperately searching for him amid the zombie-infested chaos.

Besides the two leads, Terry O’Quinn’s character, Major General Beale, is showcased in the teaser, promising Rick “everything will change” if he follows him and the CRM. Furthermore, Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh), who was last seen in season 2 of The Walking Dead: World Beyond, is highlighted in the trailer. Other actors taking stage are Matthew Jeffries as Nat, along with Lesley-Ann Brandt as Pearl.

Behind the series is showrunner Scott M. Gimple, with help from executive producers Lincoln, Gurira, Denise Huth, and Brian Bockrath.

“A Really Exciting Story to Tell”

Bloody Disgusting reports that co-stars Lincoln and Gurira are thrilled to take on their roles again in the zombie-infested universe. Gurira described the series as “a really exciting story to tell.” And like die-hard fans of the series, Lincoln discussed how he’s also eager for “some answers.” Finally, the romantic aspects of the series entice the leads, and Gurira affectionately expressed the dynamic between the lovers as “some crazy love.”
