Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson To Join TKO

Vince McMahon is out and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is in! The Rock joins the board of directors of TKO Holdings.

Hitting Rock Top

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the most famous rocks out there, right up there with metamorphic rocks like marble and slate. So, it should be of no surprise that he has been appointed to the board of directors of TKO Holdings.

Between A Rock And A Hard Place

The Rock is a man of many talents. Having initially gotten his start from wrestling, he made a name for himself in Hollywood by starring in a constant slew of movies. From films like Walking Tall and Gridiron Gang to becoming a recurring character in the Fast & Furious franchise. That’s not all, either. He has also made his presence known in the social media and fitness sphere. So, obviously, it would be apropos for him to return to the world of wrestling. This time, however, he isn’t just a wrestling talent but also a walking suit.

He will be a part of the group responsible for the WWE’s future. Including Johnson, the board of directors stands at thirteen members in total.

In hindsight, Johnson’s appointment to the board of directors is unsurprising. First, consider Johnson’s connections in the sports and entertainment industry. Aside from his pal Kevin Hart, he also holds a number of connections in the sports world, with Johnson himself being a fan of the organization. As ESPN reports, Johnson and the president of WWE, Nick Khan, are long-time friends. They’re such good friends, in fact, that Nick’s sister, Nahnatchka Khan, worked on the show Young Rock, which was loosely based on Johnson’s childhood. While some people are tired of seeing Johnson everywhere, it is still cool to see the man return to the wrestling world in such a big way. Considering that both his father and grandfather were wrestlers before him, The Rock has returned to his roots.

A lover of gore and over the top violence, no movie can make my stomach squirm. The only thing better than a bloody death scene is a well choreographed stunt. Whether it be action or horror, if it has blood in it, then I've likely already seen it.
