Venom Has One Last Dance

On Tuesday, March 12, Sony Pictures revealed a new title for the third installment of the Tom Hardy Venom universe. Changes to the film’s release date have also been changed and announced.

Back to the Big Screen

Sony has officially revealed that Venom 3 will be called Venom: The Last Dance and has rescheduled the film’s theatrical release for a third time. Venom: The Last Dance is now scheduled for release in theatres on October 25, 2024, in IMAX.

Originally scheduled for a June release of this year, the film was rescheduled for theatrical release on November 8, 2024, due to a pause in production due to the SAG-AFTRA actor’s strike. But now fans will be happy to know they will be receiving Tom Hardy’s third Venom movie a little earlier this year.

Last we saw Venom, he had just dealt with Carnage and was being dragged into the MCU from Thanos’ use of the Infinity Stones. In a post-credits scene, we see Venom watching Spider-Man’s identity be revealed on the news.

Additionally, a set photo shared by Tom Hardy revealed a costume choice, with fans speculating that the film could take place after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, this or anything else about the plot has yet to be confirmed.

Venom: The Last Dance will be directed by Kelly Marcel, which will be her third time directing the series since Venom and its sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The film is also co-written by her alongside Tom Hardy. Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor will star in the film with Hardy. This film is not yet rated.

Blumhouse’s The Wolfman and Cinedigm’s Terrifer 3 will also released in theatres on Halloween.
