Peacock Finds John Wayne Gacy Lookalike

Michael Chernus Set to Play Infamous Serial Killer

Peacock has finally found the face for their new limited series The Devil in Disguise. Michael Chernus (Dead Ringers) will reportedly play the infamous serial killer John Wayne Gacy.

Clowning Around

Based on the documentary series of the same name also produced by Peacock, this scripted drama series is being written by Patrick Macmanus, who will also serve as showrunner.  The series will be aiming to take a peek at the sordid life of the monstrous figure as well as the trauma felt by the families of his victims. With a reign of terror that lasted from 1972-1978 and a body count reaching 33 victims, Gacy was able to remain unsuspected due to being likable by his peers and his career choice as a clown.

This Obsession is Killer

It’s no secret that true crime has long held a special place in entertainment. For the same reasons horror has captivated audiences, watching these horrific stories play out can be both tragic and adrenaline-inducing. What separates true crime from regular horror is, of course, the fact that it actually happened (although some events may be dramatized for entertainment purposes). Over the past decade in particular, a trend has emerged where serial killers have films or series created in their name and often involving recognizable faces such as Zac Efron, who played Ted Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile  and more recently Evan Peters, who starred as the titular killer in Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

Stay tuned as more information about this series’ cast and release date are revealed.

A lover of gore and over the top violence, no movie can make my stomach squirm. The only thing better than a bloody death scene is a well choreographed stunt. Whether it be action or horror, if it has blood in it, then I've likely already seen it.
