At the beginning of every month, streaming services remove certain titles from the platform as well as add new programming to ensure the catalogs remain fresh. Hulu’s list for August also includes live sports events and comedy specials.   

Movies & TV 

Leading the charge for movies is Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024), which premiered in theaters this past May. The film has already reached Hulu’s top ten streamed out of the currently available titles. To complement the new release, Hulu also features all films from the original five-movie franchise, beginning in 1968. Other notable titles for movies added in August include Casino (1995), the Night at the Museum trilogy, Zero Dark Thirty, Horrible Bosses 1 (and 2), Raising Arizona, Drumline, The Full Monty (1997), Kingdom of Heaven, and Punch-Drunk Love. For television, the fourth season of Only Murders in the Building will premiere on August 27. Solar Opposites will continue into its fifth season, premiering Monday, August 12. The service will also host the series premiere of Dance Moms: A New Era on Wednesdays, August 7. On August 15, Hulu will feature a list of reality and competition shows, including Cake Boss (Season 16), Cake Wars (Season 2), Man vs. Wild (Seasons 4 & 6), WWE Smack Talk (Season 1), and Dr. Pimple Popper (Seasons 6 & 7).
