‘Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic’ Teaser Drop

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic (2025) Official Steel Wool Studios Teaser

Set to Release 2025

Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) fans are being treated right with a teaser for another entry in the FNAF series being released. This comes after a slew of news relating to the future of the FNAF series, including a collaboration with Dead by Daylight

The Terror Continues…

During the short 43 second video, viewers start off with a view of some funky ‘70s style carpeting (this is important) before being greeted by jack-in-the-box. As the camera closes in, the lever steadily cranks away until viewers are greeted by a pair of glowing eyes. Promptly after, the film distorts, revealing the year of release as well as the studio working behind it, Steel Wool Studios. At one point, what appears to be a date flashes on screen, 1979. Considering this entry will be reportedly set in the past, it wouldn’t be surprising if this game focused on the events prior to the first game.

Back to Back

This teaser is just one of the many pieces of FNAF news to be released. On the same day that this teaser dropped, Mega Cat Studios Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit also released on Steam. In addition, a collaboration with Dead by Daylight for next year was also announced.  None of this should be too surprising, considering this franchise has always focused on its lore and universe. This game, for example, focuses on the antagonist from the anthology horror novels Tales from the Pizzaplex. Fans should also be reminded that less than a year ago, Five Nights at Freddy’s the film adaptation was released.

A lover of gore and over the top violence, no movie can make my stomach squirm. The only thing better than a bloody death scene is a well choreographed stunt. Whether it be action or horror, if it has blood in it, then I've likely already seen it.
