Discover the Magic of the Upcoming Lord of the Rings Anime

The Lord of the Rings franchise continues to expand! Warner Bros. Pictures has released a trailer for the upcoming anime film, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.

Set 183 years before Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy, the film centers on King Helm Hammerhand of Rohan and his family’s battle to protect their kingdom from the Dunlendings. The project was directed by acclaimed anime filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama, known for Blade Runner: Black Lotus and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Oscar winner Philippa Boyens produces the movie, in addition to Jason DeMarco, and Joseph Chou. The executive producers include Fran Walsh, Peter Jackson, Sam Register, Carolyn Blackwood, and Toby Emmerich.
