It’s Too Early for April Fools
At one point, streaming was considered to be the future. Looking back, however, no one could foresee Chick-fil-A being a part of that future.
From Real Chicken to Reality TV
In a story first conducted by Deadline, the fast food chain has not only been looking to enter the streaming arena but also do so “aggressively.” Their plans include creating original content with an emphasis on unscripted content. Of course, said content would still fit the brand’s family-friendly oriented image. The platform would also include some other licensed content but it’s difficult to predict what such content would be. At least one show has officially been planned with a 10-episode order. Under production by Glassman Media who also produced The Wall which airs on NBC. Brian Gibson ((US) X Factor) will be a part of the program planning.

Streaming Good Service
Streaming as a service has quickly changed the entertainment industry. It has gotten to the point where even companies outside of entertainment want to get their hands on a piece of the pie. While certainly the most shocking participant, Chick-fil-A is far from the only black sheep that has attempted to enter this harsh industry. Transportation company Lyft also had its run in entertainment in the form of Lucky Lyfts, a gameshow ( see a trend?). The gaming industry is also creating a model based on streaming with Sony’s PS Plus service which allows for subscribers to stream games without downloading them first.
Stay tuned in case this turns out to be a convoluted prank.
