An American film composer, Chanda Dancy, created the Blink Twice (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack). It carries a tone of discomfort and unease with it. A strange sensation of emptiness and confusion accompanies this feeling. As the character experiences something, so too does the audience, and those moments are shared together. Blink Twice isn’t a film where the audience should feel warm and cozy because that’s not the story. The story is filled with untold events and moments that must be pieced together through the oddest circumstances. Perhaps the most well-known song from the film is “Ain’t Nobody” by Chaka Khan. The moment this song plays is one of the turning points of the film, where innocence ends and deviance begins. It’s where the tides begin to turn, and the knives come out.
