Disney Villains Rule the Realm at Disney World

Disney Villains Finally Claim the Spotlight

It’s time for Disney villains to step out of the shadows and claim what’s rightfully theirs: a themed area just for them. What poor, unfortunate souls would dare set foot in their realm?

Happily Ever After doesn’t exist

Disney recently held another exciting D23 convention in Brazil on Saturday, where a significant announcement took place. During the event, Josh D’Amaro, the head of Disney Parks, revealed that Disney is set to launch a new villain-themed area as an extension of Magic Kingdom at Disney World in Orlando. This latest development has been eagerly anticipated and marks a significant addition to the iconic theme park. However, this is not the only time the idea of a villain-themed land has been discussed. The concept was initially unveiled at the main D23 event in Anaheim, California, where some stunning concept art was shown to the audience.

This Isn’t a Fairy Tale

At the convention, Josh D’Amaro shared exciting details about the upcoming villain-themed area, stating, “This land will be home to the villains that you know and those that you loathe, which means happily-ever-after might feel like a distant dream.” In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, D’Amaro explained that the announcement surprised many fans, leaving some unsure whether to believe him. “We’ve got so many stories to tell — we have so many things we want to make even better in the theme parks. My plan is to continue to share that with the guests. I know people are like, ‘My gosh, I can’t believe he’s saying this. Is he serious, is he not?’ The answer is, we are absolutely serious.”

He also emphasized how significant this project is for Disney and its fans. “We know what this business is capable of, we know what our fans expect of us, and we’re going all in. You’re going to see more and more of that. As we make our way through some of these ideas, some of them will become real, and we’ll say that’s specifically what we’re going to do, but I want our guests to be on the journey with us.”

There is no release date for the Disney Villains Area yet, but stay tuned for updates!
