Daryl and Carol are Back
The sixth television series of The Walking Dead franchise is set to return this fall and has now introduced a new 30-second teaser. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon stars Reedus and McBride reprising their roles as Daryl and Carol from the original series.
The Dead Still Walk
Based on the original work of The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman, the spinoff takes his iconic characters and places them into new harrowing situations. The official synopsis by AMC says, “Season 3, which was filmed in Spain, will follow Daryl (Reedus) and Carol (McBride) as they continue their journey to somehow return home and to the ones they love. As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse.”
Following directly after the second season, The Book of Carol, the duo’s journey to find a way back home will continue in a completely new and foreign location.
Survivors Old and New
Along with the returning cast, there are fresh faces to help fight off the apocalypse. Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, and Alexandra Masangkay join as series regulars in Season 3. With recurring cast members in Candela Saitta, Hugo Arbués, Greta Fernández, Gonzalo Bouza, Hada Nieto, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usín, and Stephen Merchant, amongst others. The new season is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, showrunner David Zabel, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, Jason Richman, Dan Percival, and Steve Squillante, along with Silvia Aráez and Jesús de la Vega from Ánima Stillking.
