Romance Across Seasons
Wednesday’s Jenna Ortega and Percy Hynes White star in the new coming-of-age romance, Winter Spring Summer or Fall, set to release on Paramount+. After the premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival and a limited release in select theatres by Paramount’s Republic Pictures last April, the film hits streaming on September 1st.
Fall in Love
The film follows Remi (Jenna Ortega) and Barnes (Hynes White), two teens who meet by chance in senior year of high school and spend four transformative days together through the seasons. The film’s official summary reads, “Remi has her future figured out – Harvard in the fall, making her parents proud, and following the path she’s always expected to take. Then she meets Barnes, who lives for the moment and makes her question everything. As their love story unfolds through the summer, Remi faces a choice – stick to the plan she’s always known or risk it all for a life she never saw coming.”
Paramount+ continues expanding its rom-com collection with Winter Spring Summer or Fall, featuring alongside classics like Mean Girls, Clueless, She’s The Man, and more.
Seasons and Stars
The film is directed by Tiffany Paulson, the filmmaker behind titles like Holidate and About Fate. The script was written by Dan Schoeffer, the writer behind films like Not Cool and Hollidaysburg. Josh Shader, Brad Krevoy, and David M. Wulf worked as producers for the project under the production companies Motion Picture Corporation of America and Wall Fly. The cast also includes Marisol Nichols (Riverdale) as Carmen, Elias Kacavas (My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3) as PJ, Adam Rodriguez (Criminal Minds) as Javier, and Jaqueline Emerson (Hunger Games) as Robin. The film is rated “R” by the Motion Picture Association for teen drug and alcohol use and brief language.
