Disney+ Releases Huge Content Drop
Disney+ just teased a boatload of new content in a new 60-second trailer revealed on YouTube. Disney+ just teased a new season of Percy Jackson, Wonder Man, Alien: Earth, Chad Powers, King of the Hill, The Twisted Tail of Amanda Knox, Zombies 4, and ALL’s Fair. That means eight total new items are coming to Disney+ this year! With so much content coming out, it’s time to break it all down.
A Content Bomb Has Been Dropped
Eight shows and movies are a lot for fans to get ready for. Fans don’t have to wait long, as all of these are shows or movies that are coming to Disney+ this year. An article from Deadline breaks down the trailer. The article reported “we get first looks at Marvel Television’s, new series Wonder Man, premiering in December, the King of the Hill revival series streaming August 4, the fifth season of Only Murders in the Building and Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires, the fourth installment in the Zombies series with Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim reprising their roles, streaming July 11.”
Additional series featured include Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, streaming in December, FX’s Alien Earth, streaming August 12, Ryan Murphy’s legal drama All’s Fair, streaming in the fall, Chad Powers premiering September 30, and The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, streaming August 20.
Lots of Hype and Anticipation
The trailer dropped on Tuesday and has already amassed over 300k views on YouTube due to many of the shows being highly anticipated. One commenter on the YouTube trailer wrote, “0:43 for those of you coming for PJO just skip to here, thank me later.” The commenter was letting people know the timestamp of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2. Another wrote, “It warms my heart seeing people in the comments the most excited for PJO season 2.” Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 got a lot of love in the comments, with a lot of people talking about how excited they are for the upcoming season. The reason for all the buzz? The Chariot Race scene. That’s right, the Chariot Race scene is coming to the big screen. In the 2013 film, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, the Chariot Race was left out. Now, fans of the books will be able to see this Camp Half-Blood tradition for the very first time on the small screen.
The Magic Awaits
Whether action, horror, thriller, family, adventure, or comedy, Disney+ has viewers covered. Even though Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 stole the show, there are plenty of other shows coming out as well. If viewers are looking for a more mature thriller, FX’s Alien Earth is exactly that. Maybe viewers are looking for a good laugh? King of the Hill is coming August 4th. Disney+ made sure to reveal a wide range of genres listed to keep viewers entertained. Only time will tell if these shows become hits or not.
