‘Gyeongseong Creature’ Season Two Trailer

Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 (2024) Official Netflix Trailer

The Korean Creature Feature Continues

The K-drama/creature feature Gyeongseong Creature has released a trailer for its new season. Set to stream September 27, fans have a lot to look forward to if the trailer is anything to go off of.

Heart-Pounding Action

If the trailer is anything to go by, action and horror are still the focus with this upcoming season. The trailer opens up with a shot reminiscent of The Shape of Water (2017).The first half of the trailer starts off with a quick flashback to the first season as well as a bittersweet reunion. It also showcases (without spoiling) some of the cool action sequences that fans can expect to see. Cool-looking choreography with decent special effects will be taking the stage alongside the show’s drama and romance. One scene shows Han So-hee’s character getting chased by a pack of shadowy creatures.

Back to the…Future?

This upcoming season picks up from where the last one ended; the difference is that it takes place in the present day. This will obviously be in stark contrast to the previous season, which was set during the events of World War II, with the Japanese having invaded Korea and proceeding to conduct experiments on the citizens. While the setting may be changing, Park Seo-jun and Han So-hee will both be returning for the new season. This tidbit makes more sense considering a reportedly new focus on the relationship between these two characters. While it’s a shame to say goodbye to such a unique setting, it’ll be interesting to see where the story goes next.

A lover of gore and over the top violence, no movie can make my stomach squirm. The only thing better than a bloody death scene is a well choreographed stunt. Whether it be action or horror, if it has blood in it, then I've likely already seen it.
